The Verdict on ScarAway
Although ScarAway is the product of proven medical research into the use of silicone sheets for scar treatment, its effectiveness is limited by its inability to maintain constant contact with the skin.  Unlike silicone gels, ScarAway’s self-adhesive sheets can easily detach from the skin’s surface after constant stretching and flexing.  Additionally, after repeated uses, the adhesive on the silicone sheet can become weaker and fall off more easily.  While the effectiveness of silicone sheets have been well documented over the years, our staff has found silicone scar remover gels to be equally effective and they possess the added benefit of adhering and conforming to the skin without falling off.
